Eugene created this piece as a preperation for his work on a new film Joan of Arc (in production) where he made the whole cast of marionettes including Joan herself. Here Joan of Arc is a functioning marionette encased in the medival tower. The top of the tower opens. The marionette can be removed, performed and put back for display. The armor for Joan was carefully crafted from tin and copper, scale by scale. Joan is made out of balsa wood and the tower is poplar with concrete base. Aproximate dimentions are 54"h x 8"w x 8"d.
